ON MAC:
1. First, you need to download Un-archiver (it’s free, you can also get it from the Mac App Store)
2. Launch Un-archiver, and you’ll see a file association list, tell Un-archiver to associate with .7z files.
3. Once Un-archiver is associated with the .7z; you can then double-click any .7z file on your Mac. It will open and un-compress like any other archive format, or you can launch Un-archiver and drag and drop 7z files into the utility.
4. Let the decompression of the 7z complete before attempting to open or interact with the extracted file contents.

If you're using the app on your phone, it can cause this issue sometimes.
Instead, try holding your finger on the link and choosing open in new tab from the menu, this SHOULD force it to open it in your browser, which will allow the archive to be opened with the password.
