Margaret Denise Quigley (aka Lý Mỹ Kỳ, Maggie Q) is an actress and former model of Vietnamese origin. Initially gained fame in Hong Kong. Maggie began modeling in Tokyo, Japan at the age of 17.
While working in Hong Kong, she is noticed by Jackie Chan. Jackie took her under his wing, taught her martial arts and helped her enter the film industry.
In 1998, she began her acting career with the television drama “House of the Dragon,” which became a hit in Asia. In 2000, received roles of Anna in the horror movie “Gui ming mo,” an FBI agent Jane Quigley in the action movie “Gen-Y Cops.”
After the “Gen-Y Cops” movie, Jackie Chan invited her to the “Manhattan Midnight” and “Rush Hour 2.” From 2010 to 2013, Maggie played the title role in the CW series “Nikita.” In 2011, she played the role of a nun in the film “Priest.” In 2014, Q was invited to lead the CBS series “Stalker.” The show was closed after one season. In 2016, she took on another role as a strong woman in the ABC series “Designated Survivor,” playing a leading FBI agent.
