YOU are the type of guy shes ttalking about, wise up
Don't forget to close the door after you!, jeez!
Just venting here as a long time AF member and one of her 400. Sorry for the following rant.
Honestly, I contacted several of such OF 'models' and most actually have a bigger ego than they have talent or looks. And that includes this miss.
She has zero references, just 8 'glamorous' photos that don't correspond with the levels she advertises and instantly goes on making trouble and setting quite unreasonable demands.
First: she only works with photographers who post photos of their face there. For most photographers on AF, it's not their main source of income. This also applies to me, by the way. Most have a day job and some even have a family and do this as their money consuming hobby or as a secondary income via BB, Coffee, Ptrn, or so. She, and other models, actually make a living out of it, so it's no more than reasonable that they 'advertise the goods' with some photos. There are also quite a few models who wish to remain anonymous and do so by posting faceless pictures, which is fine. Most of them do it for the same reason: just for having fun, while actually having a real life. Then it's just a matter of having a video call to confirm for both sides what to expect and to have thorough (written) agreement about the contents of the shoot and how the results will be processed. It's all about discretion. Her demand is completely out there.
She then goes on with a highly subjective demand, which is 'chemistry'. No chemistry equals no shoot. How on earth do you know about chemistry on the set if you don't work together? Just messaging may give a feeling, but it's on set that the chemistry happens, or not. It's why I usually book a short first shoot with a model to see if we have this chemistry and if we meet each other's expectations. It's the responsibility of a photographer if he books a day long shoot at a premium rate as first shoot with a brand new model, and expects glorious results from the first minute.
Then there's the deposit thing. 50% is way out. Most models ask 10 or 20% at most, if any. I understand why models ask this when working with some newly registered togs with no or little refrences or portfolio, or highly demanded models who wish to avoid no-shows. I usually offer to park the money at an escrow service, in such cases. If this is refused then there's no deal, simple as that. And guess what: so far everyone who set such high deposit rates turned down the escrow offer. It makes you wonder, no?
She makes tons of complaints about the platform and most of them are either just her, her expectations or her lack of experience. Sure enough some creeps will pop up, as everywhere, but that's a matter of blocking or reporting. She can just change the settings so that she can only be contacted or seen by verified members. Verified means either having tons of references, or sending a photo of you holding your ID card to the staff, so that filters out lots of opportunists and wannabe's. My experience is that reports are usually picked up and looked at quite fast by staff there: within hours or days anything is resolved. 'James' does a great job. Refering to other sites is suspicious and unprofessional? She links to her OF for more content! And, well yes, I do so too. I have work and references on PP and MF, for example, and a few more platforms, as not every model or portfolio photo is on AF. Complaining about that is just looking for excuses to dislike a site. Over 95% is asking for levels you don't offer and not reading your requirements? Calling it bullshit. If she offers POV and BG certed then of course she'll get offers in the BG and POV section. The site not having any good models? She really has the nerve to say that?
She? Miss zero references, big demands and no relevant portfolio? Finally, if she looks at what AF is, she would have understood that it's not run by and for professionals only: everyone with an interest in adult-ish content creation can register. It's this low threshold that makes the site unique.
To me, this missus just looks like she's promoting her OF without ever being serious about ever getting started as a model. I've seen those before, and if they react, they usually refer to their OF (guess what, an external site!) if you want to see level appropriate content for the levels they offer and where they claim to be very experienced, while not showing a single photo or anywhere close to that level in their AF portfolios.
Really, I think AF is getting much better if we can get rid of those entitled parasites that abuse AF only for promotion of their own platform content without actually being willing to contribute to AF at all. I bet that she won't remove her profile and just keeps it empty with a few photos and the link - that's also something I've seen with many of these. So I'm solidary here with the 'make sure you close the door behind you' gang. But that's just due to my years of experience.
ps. I have actually contacted her for a shoot some weeks ago, as I already had a trip planned to a nearby area.
Not naming levels, just telling her about me, my experience, my way of working, what I'm offering her and a few possible dates. Haven't heard anything, so I guess I've been blocked for not showing my face and not bringing my chemistry set.
