Why? All he is saying is that she may want to do more adult roles but as her character in Stranger Things is still a child, she would be contractually and perhaps morally constrained from doing so.
There does seem to be a tendency to read paedophiliac meanings where there are none.

Indeed, which gives an insight to their mind and how they interpret things. As you said, I was saying that because the character is under 18, the producers won't want that character associated with anything inappropriate.
