A 33-year-old mom from Kasson, Minn., is suing a former employer, alleging that she was fired because she appeared in a Playboy magazine pictorial.
Jessica Zelinske, 33, appeared on the cover of a fall 2011 "Hot Housewives" special-issue after her boss at Charter Communications approved of her modeling for Playboy, she said. The mother of a daughter, then age 7, had told the Rochester Post-Bulletin that she had been among a select few chosen from among 418 aspiring models at a casting call. "I've always had the confidence to do crazy things like this," she told the newspaper.
But the dream was tarnished when she was fired from her ad executive job after she appeared nude, the Star Tribune reports. The company let her go for violating the company’s “standards of common decency.” Zelinske is suing for $150,000, citing emotional distress, compensatory damages and the cost of her legal fees.
