I am just wondering what she does in a film festival. She has not played in any movie since nearly 10 years. She is clearly a retired actress.

Why not? As retired surgeon, you're still "allowed" to attend medical conventions etc. And many of them do. I guess it goes for all professions. A way to "stay in touch" with something you love, despite not being active part of it anymore.

She’s got friends in the industry too. She could be there supporting them. Don’t know what that guy’s on about. Also I’d hardly call 6 years “nearly ten years.” It’s barely over five.
