To me it's this. Being basically sexualized and let's be honest, likely abused before you are 16 and your parents answer to all of that trauma is to lock you up and keep running you out there like a show pony because they like the money more than they love their daughter..It's going to fuck you up and leave you with no sense of yourself beyond being a thing. And to make it worse, you have next to no contact with normal people and life to give you any context of anything different.
