I read a thing years ago on a neuroscience site which said that a foot fetish triggers something in our brain, a sensory input which is beside the bit of our brain that deals with genital arousal. Sounds strange, but makes sense. I like an attractive woman who takes care of her feet. For me it means she's more likely to take care of herself in general, and, if she shows her feet to attract attention, is likely to be a kinky sort, which can only be a good thing.

I see feet as an added bonus to the entire package

I always point my foot fetish back to a childhood experience. My sister had a friend over and I was dead jealous she had someone to play with in her room just for her (we had no other siblings so I was playing alone). I remember laying on the floor and trying to peek under the gap at the bottom of the door to see what they were up to and they were stood right at the other side of the door, this girl had leather patent shoes on and I was peering so close to the gap that I had an overwhelming smell of that leather, it's a very vivid memory. Obviously was not sexual at the time nor have I thought about it that way ever since. But I think because it's so vivid in my mind that it had some sort of impact on formulation of my fetish for feet
