Say hi to Hayley Atwell, the leading lady from the 2008 historical flick The Duchess who also stole hearts as the love interest of the title character in Captain America: The First Avenger. You might also remember her as Ella’s mom in the 2015 movie Cinderella and as Peggy Carter in 2015’s Ant-Man. She honed her craft at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, learnin’ the ropes before hittin’ the big screen.
Her debut in American cinema was in Woody Allen’s Cassandra’s Dream, makin’ her mark across the pond. Hayley’s folks split when she was just two years old. In 2014, she kicked off a romance with musician Evan Jones, but things didn’t go the distance. Fun fact: Her parents met and connected at a London workshop by Dale Carnegie titled How to Win Friends and Influence People, showin’ that love can spark in unexpected places.
