She’s dropped loads of #1 hits, like “Don’t Wanna Lose You.” Back in college, she was doing her thing at the Miami International Airport Customs Department, and even got the attention of the CIA because she’s a language whiz.
She’s bagged seven Grammy Awards, scoring one for Best Tropical Latin Album in 1993 for Mi Tierra. She tied the knot with Emilio Estefan Jr. on September 2, 1978, and they had two kids, Emily and Nayib. Then in 2012, she became a grandma when her son and daughter-in-law had a little one.
