I got offered to buy a folder of girls on a page in redit. Paid the money, wasn't sent the folder, was refunded and told that I was going to get done for attempting to buy revenge porn? Is attempting to buy a criminal act? I have no idea on the law just curiosity got the better of me ‍

I’d suggest revenge porn is the sharing of content that’s not your own. You didn’t share it. You simply bought it.

I didn't buy it, well technically I didn't. I was offered a folder of UK girls. Paid the fee, got told I was getting reported for trying to buy revenge porn, then got refunded. I wasn't sent anything, I didn't see anything? All seems very weird.

Yeah its not something I want to do. Surely if I didn't get sent, distribute or see anything then it's not a offence? If I went to sainsburys with the intention to steal but didn't, I can't get arrested for shop lifting lol.
