Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, better known by her stage name Halsey is a 23-year-old American singer and songwriter. Ashley was born on September 29, 1994, in New Jersey. However, we identify her more with New York. Halsey has two younger brothers. Her father is African-American, and her mother is Caucasian.
She started in the world of music while growing up, initially playing the violin, the viola, and the cello until she changed these instruments to the acoustic guitar when she was 14 years old. Initially planned to specialize in Fine Arts and go to college, but after realizing that she couldn’t afford it, due to the cost, she enrolled in a community college.
In 18, she had financial problems, and the music became her means to pay off the debts. She played at the concerts in different cities under various artistic names. Finally chose to Halsey, since that is an anagram of her name and a street in Brooklyn on which she spent her adolescence.
