She shot to mega-fame in 1997 with the band’s iconic debut “Never Ever,” helping them rack up five UK #1 singles, two multi-platinum albums, two BRIT Awards, and over 10 million records sold worldwide – making All Saints the second-biggest girl group in UK history behind only the Spice Girls.
After the first split in 2001, Mel tried going solo: dropped the Xenomania-produced banger “Do Me Wrong” in 2003, recorded an album, but got dropped by her label. She came back with the indie single “See Me” in 2005, but shelved the album when All Saints reunited in 2006.
