Now that’s what I call Longlegs.
Sadly, 10 years after “It Follows,” she looks really old and emaciated in the face. Very unattractive now unless you’re attracted to Shoah victims.
One of my favorite actresses because she doesn’t waste her time on garbage films (we’ll categorize her inexplicable choice to take Mae Whitman’s role in the best forgotten “Independence Day” sequel as a bad dream that never took place in actual reality). She’s seemingly content to restrict herself to small GOOD (and occasionally even great) films that she won’t get a massive paycheck for but that are actually GOOD. That places her in a minority among actresses based in the US and Canada. I can see a film on her name alone and trust that it won’t be garbage because she has EARNED that trust. How many actresses here can I say that of?
“Longlegs” may be the best film of its kind since the third “Exorcist.” A great fucking film, and her best since “Flashback.”
It actually took me a minute to recognize Alicia Witt when she showed up onscreen in “Longlegs”, but she looks great here. Lovely. SEXY.
