Not beautiful enough AND she never conveys the sweet, youthful innocence of Disney’s animated Ariel. Her interpretation of Ariel comes off as too mature, too much of a young woman rather than the girl that her animated predecessor is.
The bitch who played Vanessa aka “Hot Ursula” was well cast, demonstrating Bailey’s inadequacy. In the animated film, arguments can be made for either Vanessa or Ariel being the better looking of the two, but only a fool wouldn’t score live action Vanessa higher than Bailey’s Ariel.
