When she was divorcing Tyson she said she was a victim of domestic violence and then the press reported that he regularly beat her, it was never really proven or disproved more a case of 1 time in an argument he lashed out at her and if memory serves, she actually came out years later and said she should of been clearer at the time about what actually happened, so she didn’t lie but she didn’t stop the narrative at the time, seems rude to have everyone read all this writing and not supply a nice pic to enjoy

But is it like other victims (like Ivana Trump) who say they were raped and abused by their spouse and then claim years later "That's not what I meant" because they're still worried about retaliation from their exes/people they know?

Like, we all know Tyson's a violent, rapist piece of shit, we have more than one person to confirm that, but one victim recanting or trying to claim later that people "misunderstood her at the time" just sounds like a victim trying to bury what happened to them because in their minds, having it happen is somehow a sign of their own weakness and not the weakness and cowardice of the person who abused them.
