Question from a newb

Hey everyone , long time listener first time caller . I see alot of posts referencing things like "saw this on cancer " or "vola" . I assume these are code words or slang for sources . Is there someplace that explain what these terms mean or what they are talking about ? I've tried urban dictionary and just googling and have gotten nothing . Any help would be great but I don't want to get anyone in trouble so if it's like a "you gotta know a guy " kinda things , I understand if I should fuck off . And I'm sorry if this doesn't belong here but I don't know where else to post it .
