Free-Floating Hostility

The following is a list of people, places, things or ideas that piss me off. I take after George Carlin (R.I.P.) when I say that I don't have pet peeves. I have major psychotic hatreds.

People Ahead Of Me In Line

I don't understand why people have to pay for a pack of Tide Pods with a credit card. That's not even close to being a major purchase. A car or television is a major purchase. Get some cash together. No one should be paying interest on toothpaste. You're holding me up. I get just as pissed when they pull out coupons. Are we so poor that we need to cut out pieces of paper to save money on a gallon of milk?

Celebrity News

For purposes of discussion, I'm excluding shows that are dedicated to celebrity news (i.e. TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood). What I'm talking about is the local, national and international news programs telling us about that latest celebrity gossip. I don't give a shit if Kim Kardashian's dog just had puppies. That's not real news. I think I know why they do it. It's a way to keep us distracted from how badly we're being fucked over everyday. I see right through it. Just report the real news.

Religion

My issue with religion is that they want to be involved in public policy, at least in the United States. They lobby to get laws passed in the name of religion. Catholics are the worst offenders. They want to overturn Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Hodges. They want to force kids to pray in school. They want to shove religion down everybody's throats. We have gag reflexes for a reason. I say tax all religion. If they want to influence politics they should pay the price of admission. The Catholic Church could help shrink the national debt if you tax their real estate holdings alone.

Sports

My problem is not with the sports themselves. I love watching sports. However, I hate it when a good team suddenly has a bad game against a bad team. Case and point, the Monday Night Football game between the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills. My Patriots were awful. It's like they were purposely trying to the scoring low so as to not hurt the other team's feelings or the feelings of their fans. If the object of the game is to win, you have to score as many points as possible. Beat your opponent into submission. I know the Patriots are capable of doing so. Bill Belichick should take a lesson from his pal Nick Saban, the head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Whether Alabama is facing a ranked or unranked opponent, the gameplan is the same, beat the other team mercilessly. Saban was the defensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns during Belichick's time as their head coach. Saban and his collegiate team is actually outperforming his old boss and his professional team. Funny.

That's all for now. Feel free to comment anything that pisses you off because this is the perfect place to vent. Goodbye. And remember....
