Meet Delta Lea Goodrem, born November 9, 1984, an Australian singer-songwriter and actress. Growinâ up in Sydney, New South Wales, she was all about dancinâ, actinâ, singinâ, and piano lessons from a young age. She kicked off her career as a kid actress, poppinâ up in various TV shows and really makinâ waves in 2002 on the Australian soap “Neighbours” as Nina Tucker.

She jumped into the music scene, signinâ with Sony Music at 15, and dropped her debut album, “Innocent Eyes” (2003), which held the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart for a wild 25 weeks straight and hit number two in the UK. Itâs one of the best-sellinâ albums in Aussie history, movinâ over four million copies worldwide. All five singles – “Born to Try,” “Lost Without You,” “Innocent Eyes,” “Not Me, Not I,” and “Predictable” – topped the ARIA Singles Chart, with the first three crackinâ the UK top ten. Delta was the first and only artist to have five number-one singles from a debut album. “Innocent Eyes” is Australiaâs top album of the 2000s and the debut with the most chart-toppinâ singles.
Her second album, “Mistaken Identity” (2004), came together while she was battlinâ cancer, and its themes show that struggle. It was her second number-one album, spittinâ out two more chart-toppinâ singles, includinâ “Out of the Blue.” In 2007, “Delta”, her third number-one album, gave us another number-one hit, “In This Life.” Her fourth album, “Child of the Universe” (2012), brought the banger “Sitting on Top of the World.” In 2016, “Wings of the Wild”, her fifth album, nabbed another number-one spot on the ARIA Albums Chart with the single “Wings” hittinâ the top.
Deltaâs racked up nine number-one singles and 17 top-ten hits on the ARIA Singles Chart. Sheâs sold over eight million albums worldwide and snagged three World Music Awards, 10 ARIA Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, and a bunch of other honors. From 2012 to 2013, she coached on “The Voice Australia”, took home the win for “The Voice Kids Australia” in 2014, and came back to “The Voice Australia” in 2015.
