Sasha Alexander (born on Suzana Drobnjaković on May 17, 1973, in Los Angeles) is an American actress and director.
She studied directing at USC’s School of Cinema-Television and began her career in theatre. She became widely known for her role as Special Agent Caitlin “Kate” Todd on NCIS and later starred as Dr. Maura Isles on Rizzoli & Isles. Her film work includes Yes Man, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Mission: Impossible III. On the series Shameless, she played Helene Runyon, a college professor involved with Lip Gallagher, appearing in several nude scenes. Alexander has also directed for TV, including episodes of You. She is married to director Edoardo Ponti and has two children.
