Anya Taylor-Joy Wins SAG Award (16 Pics + Video)

Anya Taylor-Joy wins SAG award for her break-out role The Queen’s Gambit – and accepts award while wearing $800,000 worth of diamonds.

The actress won the award for Best Female Actor In A Television Or Limited Series beating out Cate Blanchett, Michaela Coel, Nicole Kidman, and Kerry Washington for the gong.

Despite the ceremony being done via Zoom, the Queen’s Gambit actress wore a nude and black lace Vera Wang dress and on the diamond front, Taylor-Joy accessorized with roughly $800,000 in Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Pieces included a $325,000 platinum necklace with a variety of diamond cuts that is both simple and sophisticated. She rounded out the look with simple round cut earrings (worth $165,000) and a trio of rings (worth $332,000 in total).

She was beautiful in the movie Split. But she’s slimming down quite a bit here. Not a great look!

    Keep it real darling…

Joy’s well deserved win is an achievement for the healthy feminism expressed in “The Queen’s Gambit”, just like Mulligan’s loss to Davis is a strike against misandry. Furthermore, speaking non-ideologically, anyone who thinks that Mulligan’s performance in PYW is her best yet is a fucking fool and a philistine. She didn’t get nominated for a BAFTA because the Brits aren’t fucking brain dead. Compared to her other work (dumb ass Americans have only seen her in “The Great Gatsby” for some reason), she’s merely good in PYW, nothing more.
