Elle Fanning gets into costume as Michelle Carter for Hulu’s new scripted series about the Michelle Carter “texting suicide case” on Tuesday.
In “The Girl From Plainville,” Fanning will play Carter, the teen convicted in the 2014 death of her boyfriend Conrad Roy III. She will also serve as an executive producer.
The new series will explore Carter’s relationship with Roy, the events that led to his death, and later, her highly-publicized trial.

In addition to being one of the most beautiful women she’s one of the greatest actresses alive today, so I hope that this series is worthy of her. Run of the mill projects like that film with the black dude and the one where she became a popstar are entirely beneath Elle, the Neon Demon.
