In 2006 Crawford signed a contract with WWE. On October 20 she won the OVW Women’s Championship. In 2007, Crawford moved to the new WWE Florida Championship Wrestling training ground, where she appeared regularly until 2009. In June 2008, Crawford made her debut in the “SmackDown!” under the name Alicia Fox. Starting in 2010, Fox began to fight regularly for the WWE title among Divas, and, having won it in June 2010, became the first African-American champion in the history of WWE.
